The Food and Drug Administration has issued its final rule for food manufacturers who claim a product is ‘healthy.’ The new guidelines have upset a few segments of the ag industry. The FDA said nearly 80 percent of Americans are not eating enough dairy products. However, the International Dairy Foods Association says the new rule is so narrow very few foods will be able to carry the ‘healthy foods’ label.
