Cattle markets look to end a strong year on a high note. NDSU Extension Livestock Economist Tim Petry says holiday demand has been a pleasant surprise. “Cutout values are up again and there was really strong demand for ribs for holidays at high prices that we didn’t know materialized.” That consumer demand has sparked fed cattle prices and feeder cattle are seeing support from low supplies as well.
