Cereal leaf beetles are getting attention from researchers. University of Minnesota Extension IPM Specialist Anthony Hanson says the beetles are already causing economic damage. “In northwest Minnesota, this is a new insect, but it’s not new to the state.” The pest was found in southeastern Minnesota for years, but has been seen in the northwestern corner of the state in only the past couple years.”
