South Dakota Farmers Union recognized Paul Dennert and Don Schaunaman for their leadership to South Dakota agriculture. Dennert is a fourth-generation Brown County farmer and former state legislator. Schaunaman farmed near Aberdeen and was an advocate for the cooperative business model. Schaunaman passed away in 2021 at the age of 92.
