Governors from 17 states have signed a joint letter, asking Congress to reauthorize the farm bill and provide financial assistance to farm country. In the letter, the governors said farmers are in trouble and without meaningful support, ‘the well-being of the nation is at risk.’ This letter was signed by governors representing all parts of the country. However, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem did not sign it.
