Putin Approves Sale of Louis Dreyfus Facility

Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved the sale of an elevator company owned by the Louis Dreyfus Company to an unknown buyer. Louis Dreyfus stopped exporting grain from the facility in July of 2023. Other Western companies sold assets or abandoned Russian facilities when the war with Ukraine began in February of 2022. A large Russian sunflower company is rumored to be the facility’s new owner.
