Laxmi Prasad is the new Extension water engineer for North Dakota State University. Prasad will focus on water issues including irrigation systems management, tile drainage management, and water quality. Prasad received his bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University in India and his master’s degree in land and water resources engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur. He got his Ph.D. in biological systems engineering and soil science at UW-Madison in 2021.
