The American Farm Bureau Federation, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and National Pork Producers Council have filed a ‘friend of the court’ brief in legal action against the EPA. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce filed the original lawsuit, claiming the agency’s rule on PFAS or ‘forever chemicals’ should be vacated. The farm groups contend agriculture was not responsible for these chemicals and shouldn’t be liable for cleanup costs.
