The Association of Equipment Manufacturers reports U.S. sales of 4-wheel drive tractors were up 4.8 percent in August compared to a year ago. However, total U.S. tractor sales declined 19.4 percent and combine sales were down 19.6 percent. In Canada, sales of 4-wheel drive tractors increased nearly 30 percent percent in August while total tractor sales in Canada fell 26 percent. Canadian combine sales were down 36.5 percent.
