The American Bankers Association and the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation produce an Ag Lender Survey report annually. “Broadly, the results reflect the trends in the agriculture economy right now,” says Tyler Mondres, senior director of research, ABA. “A lot of the sentiment from our lenders reflected the fact that we’re entering potentially tougher times for America’s farmers and ranchers.” Ag lenders voiced concern about credit quality while farmers are worried about farm income levels and liquidity.
