President-Elect Donald Trump appointed former New York Congressman Lee Zeldin to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. Zeldin served four terms in Congress before an unsuccessful bid for governor in 2022. Trump said Zeldin would maintain high environmental standards while taking “fair and swift” deregulatory decisions.
