The Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council has scholarships available for university students who have shown commitment to teaching agriculture’s next generation. These scholarships are aimed to ease the financial burden and encourage more to pursue the path of agriculture education. Minnesota continues to need more ag teachers in the state. “We’re working at finding more industry people and helping them get trained; they have the technical skills,” said Sarah Dornink, executive director, MAELC, “We quickly get them up to speed to know things like classroom management or how to run an FFA.” Listen to the interview.
