Kennedy, Minnesota farmer Rob Rynning has parked the combine for the year. “The soybeans were better than we thought; we were thinking maybe mid-30s and they ended up over 40 (bushels per acre),” said Rynning. “The canola was also good. That was maybe slightly less than expected, but still a very, very good crop.” Rynning is waiting for the weather to cool before starting the fall nitrogen application. “We’ve done one field, but we didn’t want to get too aggressive because of the warm temperatures coming up.”
