The California State Senate will not take up a proposal to speed up the state’s move to a 15 percent ethanol blend. A bill that would have required the California Air Resources Board to expedite its review of a move from ten percent to a 15 percent ethanol blend passed the State Assembly. However, a key committee refused to hear the bill during the current special legislative session. The issue will need to wait until California’s next regular legislative session.
