McDonald’s has filed an anti-trust lawsuit against JBS, Tyson Foods, Cargill and National Beef. The restaurant chain claims the meatpackers conspired on the prices paid for cattle and slaughter volumes. The lawsuit alleges the world’s largest meatpackers colluded to limit supplies and artificially drive prices higher over the past ten years. McDonald’s is seeking monetary damages and a court order to end the alleged price-fixing.
