Hitterdal, Minnesota farmer Beau Jacobson is happy with the beet crop. “Sugars are climbing with the dry weather we’ve been having.” The ground is really dry, “but, you know, I enjoy the dust more than the mud. I don’t think anybody wants to start asking for rain at the moment.” Jacobson said he’d welcome some rain after harvest.
