It says the U.S. Maritime Alliance represents a group of foreign-owned companies that made record profits since the pandemic. President Joe Biden urged the ocean carriers to negotiate a fair contract with the International Longshoremen’s Association. The statement said the Administration will also be monitoring the situation for any price gouging activity that benefits the companies involved in this labor dispute.
