The dry bean harvest is getting underway across the region. Johnstown Bean Company General Manager Dylan Karley was harvesting Friday morning. “I’d say we are 60-to-65 percent harvested in the local area and they’ve been running a little bit better than average.” Karley said his area missed out on one of the recent rains that would have helped make the crop outstanding but he was still happy with the crop conditions.
