Sharing the stage with his Minnesota counterpart, North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring emphasized the opportunity to increase animal agriculture in the state. “We have the land and the space,” said Goehring. “It provides more certainty. You’re not putting everything on rail or on rubber and go someplace.” With two new large-scale dairy farms ready to build in the state, Goehring said he is excited to see the possibilities for animal agriculture in the state.
