The House took action to restrict the purchase of farmland by foreign adversaries China, Russia, North Korea or Iran. The bill also adds USDA to the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States, which evaluates transactions involving ag land, ag biotechnology and the ag industry. The bill now goes to the Senate, but there is little time left on the legislative calendar.
