The Thursday portion of the Red River Farm Network Crop Tour was wet. Luke Forsness, who operates Black River Ag at Dorothy, Minnesota, said that has been a familiar pattern this year. “It seems like we couldn’t get a three or four-day stretch all spring where it wasn’t raining.” After a window opened to plant the crop, everything emerged well. “There’s some drowned-out areas that were a little tough and some nitrogen loss in some of the corn where that nitrogen and fertilizer got pushed down with all the moisture, but so far crops are looking good.” Watch the video.
