Matthew Krueger, a partner in K & D Krueger Farms and Sons at East Grand Forks, finished his wheat harvest a week ago. “The yields were coming in tremendously great and then after recent rains, which benefitted all the other crops, to be honest, the quality of spring wheat took a real hit,” said Krueger. “I’ve heard rumors out east, closer to Red Lake Falls, guys having a lot of vomitoxin. It’s almost to the point now where my crop insurance agent told me he’s having guys trying to burn fields in the coming week.”
