Activist groups are suing the European Commission seeking more stringent greenhouse gas emission rules. Climate Action Network and the Global Legal Action Network claim the greenhouse gas emission limits on agriculture and other business segments do not go far enough and should be illegal. The court has given the case priority status and it could be heard within the next year.
