Another farm bill extension seems to become more plausible as time progresses. “We’re at the point in the process where we’re going to be forced to probably extend all the appropriations,” said Jay Truitt, president, Policy Solutions. Truitt expects the farm bill will be one of many items lumped into one large omnibus bill. A farm bill debate will finally happen, but Truitt doesn’t expect that to happen until well into next year.
