Canada’s two largest railroads shut down on Thursday. North Dakota Grain Dealers Association Executive Vice President Stu Letcher says this directly affects shipments on the Canadian Pacific Railway which dips into Canada. “We’re hoping this will be a short-lived stoppage,” said Letcher. “It not only affects the CP but those on the short lines as well.” The longer the shutdown lasts, the longer it will take to get everything back to normal.
