Harvested acres and record yields in this past week’s supply and demand report were the major market features. AgResource Company President Dan Basse says the record yields in the WASDE report are a starting point. “Due to foliar diseases and other things, my guess would be we’ll probably see yields come down as the season goes on but it depends on Mother Nature. Crop tours are going to be ongoing in the next couple of weeks so that’ll give us some evidence.”
