The American Crystal Sugar Company pre-pile season is underway. Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers Association President Brent Baldwin is optimistic about the crop. “Crops look good; they’re predicting a nice crop,” said Baldwin. “I think the beets are generally in that 3 to 16-ton range, maybe more in spots where they’ve gotten more rain but the potential is there.”
