JBS is reporting quarterly profits of $315 million. A year ago, the world’s largest meatpacker suffered a loss of more than $53 million. JBS enjoyed gains in its chicken and pork business, but profit margins in the beef division were pressured by tight cattle supplies and a difficult economy.
