Language to eliminate property taxes in North Dakota will be on the ballot in November. The North Dakota Secretary of State’s Office approved the initiative. The Legislative Council estimates this measure would cost the state $1.3 billion in lost revenue annually. A coalition called Keep it Local is opposed to Measure 4. The agriculture groups in this coalition include the North Dakota Farmers Union and commodity groups representing corn, soybean, cattle, grain and sugarbeets.
