Soybean aphid populations doubled their populations within three days this past week in parts of southeastern North Dakota. The NDSU Crop and Pest Report says growers also complain that pyrethroid insecticides are not providing effective control. In its field trials, NDSU found aphid-specific insecticides or pyrethroid and aphid-specific premixes more effective than fields treated solely with pyrethroids.
