After a wet start to the growing season, the crops in the Hurdsfield, North Dakota area seem to be perking up. ” Everything looks really good in our area with the exception of some of the pinto beans,” said Jeff Mertz. “They did not like the wet feet.” The corn is starting to tassel and the soybeans are starting to flower. With warm weather and timely rains, Mertz says the crop still has potential.
