AGCO officials said the quarterly report was influenced by weak market conditions and significant production cuts to reduce company and dealer inventories. North American retail tractor sales dropped eight percent in the first six months of the year. Large equipment categories performed better than smaller equipment. Combine unit sales were down 11 percent from a year ago.
