Farm Bill Coalition Seeks Action Now

More than 500 national and state groups have sent a joint letter to congressional leadership, urging passage of the farm bill this year. If the farm bill is pushed into next year, Congress will be seating new leadership and committee members. The farm groups said that will further delay action on the farm bill. The current farm bill extension expires at the end of September.
