For Crookston farmer Craig LaPlante, regenerative farming is the name of the game. LaPlante adopted these practices over ten years ago. “By using reduced tillage and a combination of cover crops you can start changing weed species. You also start changing insect species. You start changing fertilizer requirements as well because our soils will regenerate and rehabilitate.” LaPlante participated in Tuesday’s soil health event near Crookston.
