After a variable spring, the sugarbeet crop is progressing well. “The overall beet stands look fairly good, we’re off to a good start,” said Lynn Dusek, regional sales manager, Betaseed. “Herbicide applications are being made as timely as possible. Growers are finishing up with that and as the rows begin to close going into July, I’m thinking about starting fungicides.”
