The Kansas wheat harvest is chugging right along. Kansas Wheat Vice President of Research and Operations Aaron Harries expects the harvest to advance rapidly this week. “Harvest has been moving rapidly, we are ahead of schedule compared to the average,” Harries told RRFN. “We had some rain that stopped harvest for a few days but the weather forecast is hot, dry, and windy for the foreseeable future so I think the harvest will move rapidly.” There is a wide range of yields but the average is better than expected.
