Rounds Promotes MCOOL

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds is calling on Senate Agriculture Committee leadership to reinstate mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef. Mandatory COOL was included in the 2008 farm bill, but was rescinded in 2015 after being challenged by Canada and Mexico. Rounds said more transparency is needed in the beef labeling system.
