June is a Canada-heavy month for Minnesota officials. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen and Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Matt Varilek were part of a trade mission to Quebec this past week. Deputy Agriculture Commissioner Andrea Vaubel will be in Vancouver this week. “I’ll be traveling to Vancouver with Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan for a first-of-its-kind Native Nations-focused trade mission led by USDA Under Secretary Alexis Taylor,” said Vaubel. “We’ll be talking about women in agriculture, indigenous agriculture in Canada and in the US and talking all things trade with Canada.”
