This year’s World Association of Beet and Cane Growers Annual Meeting will be held in Fargo. “We have 18 different countries represented and a great lineup of speakers giving an overview of U.S. industry on sugar policy and sugar production,” explains Harrison Weber, executive director, Red River Valley Sugarbeet Growers Association. This year’s meeting is the first to be hosted in the United States in 20 years. “The last time we hosted this event was 2004; a lot has changed in that time. It’s a really great meeting hearing what growers around the globe are facing.” The meeting begins tomorrow and continues through Friday.
