The State of Minnesota has secured a $214 million U.S. Energy Department loan to finance a new biomanufacturing facility in Marshall, Minnesota. Bioforge Marshall is owned by the climate technology company Solugen. This plant will use corn to manufacture chemicals typically made from oil, resulting in significantly lower carbon solutions. Construction is expected to be wrapped up in 2025.
