Wet fields delayed fieldwork over the past month. “We actually got a number of inches of rain early in the spring and farmers weren’t really complaining about it,” said Sarah Lovas, agronomist, GK Technology. “The last two-or-three inches did us in and farmers started saying it was time for the rain to quit.” Lovas said there are still numerous farms in the central Red River Valley that need to finish planting and begin weed control.
