With little fanfare, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed the omnibus agriculture bill heading into the Memorial Day weekend. This legislation includes nearly $3 million to address groundwater issues in southeastern Minnesota, more money to address Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, an extension of the Agricultural Fertilizer Research and Education Council and additional funding for Soil Health Equipment Grants. On Thursday, Walz traveled to Hoyt Lakes and signed a bill allocating $30 million for rural emergency medical services.
