In the latest Pioneer Agronomy Update, Pioneer Field Agronomist Kristie Sundeen says weeds, such as waterhemp and kochia, continue to be a challenge in post applications. “It is essential that growers take the time to apply pre-emerge herbicide to help eliminate these weeds when they are at their weakest.” Spraying conditions have not been ideal this season, putting more importance on the use of the right adjuvants. Early planted canola is beginning to emerge and flea beetles have already been seen.
