A federal court has rejected Agri Stats’ effort to shut down an antitrust lawsuit. The Justice Department claims Agri Stats allowed meat processors to share confidential information to limit supplies and drive up consumer prices. Agri Stats wanted a change of venue or dismiss the case altogether. The federal judge in Minneapolis rejected those arguments and is moving forward with the lawsuit.
