The former administrator of USDA’s Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration during the Obama Administration, Larry Mitchell, has died. Mitchell, 68, served as the CEO of the American Corn Growers Association and vice president of government relations for the National Farmers Union. He was also the FSA’s associate administrator of farm programs during the Clinton presidency. Mitchell was also active during the American Agriculture Movement during the 1970s.
