Weather models predict a drier, warmer summer. With broader weather patterns showing a transition into La Nina, the May showers could not have come at a better time. World Weather Incorporated Senior Ag Meteorologist Drew Lerner is now focused on the shift from El Nino to La Nina. “The faster we transition from El Nino to La Nina, the higher the stakes are,” said Lerner. “So far, this transition seems to be more gradual than what was predicted.” A slower transition could lead to more timely rains this summer. Lerner serves as RRFN’s meteorologist with two ag forecasts each day.
