The farm bill may see some action before the end of the month in the House Agriculture Committee. National Pork Producers Council Assistant Vice President of Domestic Policy Chase Adams says agriculture needs to get a farm bill done. “Not only for the animal health priorities that we’ve always worked on with our counterparts in the barnyard, but with the challenges of California’s Prop 12 the only place to fix that arbitrary sow housing standard is going to be through the farm bill process.” Adams said this issue is far bigger than the swine industry.
