For the fourth year in a row, pastureland values in North Dakota have increased. According to North Dakota Department of Trust Lands Annual Land Survey, cash rents for pasture ground will go up more than four percent this year, topping $23 per acre. The average value of pastureland in the state increased 6.6 percent to $1,355 per acre. NDSU Extension Agriculture Finance Specialist Bryon Parman expects this trend to continue with the good grass and strong beef cattle prices this spring.
