Argentina is facing floods in the south and drought in the center of the country. Argentine farmers are also dealing with significant insect pressure. An analysis from the Rosario Grains Exchange found leafhopper numbers in northern Argentina are ten times the normal level. In the main corn-growing region of Cordoba, leafhoppers have caused losses of nearly $1.2 billion in corn.
