As of May 1, NDSU Carrington Research Extension Center Cropping Systems Specialist Greg Endres retired. In an interview with the Red River Farm Network, Endress reflected on his 40 years with NDSU Extension. The growth of the soybean industry in North Dakota is a career highlight. “In the 1980s and early 90s, we had very low acreage; soybeans were a specialty crop,” said Endres. “It’s been fun to be involved with the growth of soybean acres and production in the state starting in about the mid-90s and continues to be a very major crop for us now.”
